Day 1 Arrive in Kochi
Arrive this morning at Kochi International airport. You will be met by our representative outside the customs gate and escorted to your hotel. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel.
Remainder of the day will be at leisure for relaxation and independent activities. .

Day 2 In Kochi
This morning enjoy an orientation tour of the city.
Explore the Fort Cochin area where you visit the old Jewish quarter. This includes a synagogue, one of the oldest in the world (Closed on Friday and Saturday). It was built in year 1568. Continue further to Dutch-built Mattancherry Palace (Closed on Friday),Portuguese Church of St Francis and the Chinese fishing nets sweeping above the water in the old town of Fort Cochin.
In the evening, witness a Kathakali performance, a classical dance-drama of Kerala.

Day 3 Kochi - Periyar
Early morning leave for Periyar (with packed breakfasts) covering a distance of 135 kms in approximately 4 hours.
En-route, visit Kodanad Elephant Orphange. Located 85 kms/ approx 1 hrs 30 min away from Kochi, Kodanad is set on the southern banks of the Lake Periyar and amidst the beautiful high ranges of the Nilgiris. It is an interesting place where about in total 11 elephants are taken care off.
Every morning around 0800 hrs in the morning, the mahouts take the elephants to nearby river body to give them a bath. The mahouts scrubbed their bodies with outer part of the Coconut. As Elephants are fond of water, they enjoy this exercise really well. Witness this fun activity!
Note: This activity is done in morning only (0730 - 0930 hrs) as afterwards the Elephants are taken on their normal routine work. Enjoy the scenic drive as you drive past beautiful small villages, tea estates and rubber plantations.
Afternoon arrive in Periyar and check in at your hotel.
Evening accompanied by a naturalist enjoy a walking trek inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, the pride of Kerala and a testimony to nature's splendor and human innovation is situated on the banks of the Periyar Lake - an artificial lake. Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady, it is one of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife reserves spread across 777 sq. km, of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forests.

Day 4 Periyar - Kumarakom
This morning drive to Kumarakom covering a distance of 130 kms in approximately 3 hours 15 min. En-route stop at Spice Plantation for a sumptuous lunch.
Afternoon arrive in Kumarakom and check-in to your resort. Rest of the day will be at leisure to enjoy the waterfront.

Day 5 Kumarakom
Enjoy an excursion to nearest town of Kottayam. Drive past the local markets as they commence business in the morning. You will have an opportunity to interact with the local folks and get to know about their daily life. You will get ample opportunities to click some classy photos
Later visit Kottayam Cheriyapalli Church. Cheriyapalli has some fairly large comparatively fine murals. There is a painting of the last Supper, Judas accepting the silver for his betrayal, his trial, Pontius Pilate, washing his hands after condemning Christ to the cross, the Crucifixion, the Virgin Mother with the body of Christ on her lap and Christ’s ascension are the other frescoes here.
Return to hotel. Remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure. Experience the ancient science of life - Ayurvedic massage available at the hotel.

Day 6 Kumarakom - Alleppey
After a leisurely breakfast, board a Kettuvalam or the traditional Rice barge (boat) for an overnight stay.
Leisurely explore the Kerala backwaters from the comforts of your houseboat. Fringing the coast of Kerala and winding far inland is a vast network of lagoons, lakes, rivers and canals.
Enjoy a traditional lunch that will be served hot on board. Float through the placid waters passing palm fringed canals, lakes and villages. Dinner will be served on board.

Day 7 Alleppey - Mararikulam
Disembark from the comforts of your house boat and drive to Mararikulam-approx 30 minutes.
Mararikulam or Marari is the beautiful coastal village in Kerala. Inhabited by the local fisherman's there, life in this place hasn't changed much in the last many decades. Men here continue to go for fishing in the morning while the Ladies perform the necessary household cores. This small village is a host to numerous soft sand beaches that promises one a holiday that will relieve him from all worries and tensions amidst this beautiful place with vast expanse of land, water and swaying palm trees.
Remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure for relaxation and independent/spa activities.

Day 8 Mararikulam
Day will be at leisure. There is plenty of activities to keep you busy besides relaxing in the peaceful and quiet environment
